Recovery-Treatment

GriefNet.org is an Internet community of persons dealing with grief, death, trauma, and major loss. Our grief support groups operate 24-hours/day, 365 days/year. Members participate when they wish and are able to, not at a set time. When one member of a group sends an email message to the group, everyone in the group receives a copy. This allows many people to respond with love and caring to the thoughts and feelings of an individual, day and night, year-round.

This brochure explores the role of family therapy in recovery from mental illness, substance use disorders, or both. It explains how family therapy sessions are run and who conducts them. It also provides information on how effective family therapy sessions are in recovery.

The Nar-Anon Family Groups is primarily for those who know or have known a feeling of desperation concerning the addiction problem of someone very near to you. We have traveled that unhappy road too, and found the answer with serenity and peace of mind.
When you come into the family group, you are no longer alone, but among true friends who understand your problem as few others could. We respect your confidence and anonymity as we know you will respect ours. We hope to give you the assurance that no situation is too difficult and no unhappiness is too great to be overcome.
